Directing Style:

I am extremely passionate about working with actors to tell stories. One of the comments my actors make after working with me is "Thank you for the creative freedom you gave me." My job as a Director is not to say whether an actor's choice is right or wrong, but to guide them on how to best represent their character to most accurately tell the story in the script. The character is always within the actor I cast. Directing becomes a matter of helping the actor sync with the character to create an honest representation and honor the intention of the playwright. This is the philosophy I carry into each and every show I direct. The research - the script - changes, but the tools remain the same.

Directing credits

Since 2018, I have directed over 15 productions, both educational and professional.

Directing at a small, nonprofit theatre has taught me that big budgets and elaborate sets and costumes are not necessary to tell a compelling story. The heart lies in the acting work - and a unique concept. Because of this, I have consistently come up with ways to make big shows work in a small space, priding myself on the ability to put a unique spin on the storytelling.
